We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a contract position in a school-based setting.

Position Overview : As a School Based Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs.

We are seeking passionate individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students and are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, other educators, and related service providers.
• Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities, adapting instructional materials and strategies to meet their unique learning needs.
• Implement behavior management strategies and interventions to support students' social and emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for supporting student success.
• Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including general education teachers, therapists, and support staff, to ensure the implementation of appropriate accommodations and modifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Educational and Licensing Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Nebraska teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• At least one year of recent experience in the field of Special Education
